Woodlake UMC's new Lead Pastor, Rev. Lobenhofer is a graduate of the University of Missouri (B.A.) and Candler School of Theology at Emory University (M.Div). Originally from Ada, Ohio, she moved to Virginia after seminary, where she has served the congregations of Bon Air, Gum Spring, and Cave Spring UMCs. She presently chairs the Valley Ridge District Committee on Ordained Ministry, represents the Virginia Conference as a member of the Jurisdictional Conference Delegation, and serves on the Annual Conference Worship Planning Team. 

In her free time, Lauren enjoys hiking, reading, working jigsaw puzzles, and playing trivia. She also likes to have living room dance parties with her husband Sam Chafin, and their three children: MJ (7), Carol (4), and Simon (4).
