Upward Soccer for Kindergarten - 5th Grade boys and girls!

Upward Soccer, a league where every child plays.

Every child learns.

Every child is a winner.

We’re excited to announce that WUMC now offers the Upward soccer program for Kindergarten - 5th grade boys & girls.  Upward is an evangelistic sports ministry specifically designed for K5 through sixth grade boys and girls that promotes salvation, character, and self-esteem in every child.  Upward provides opportunities for all believers, no matter what denomination, to become meaningfully involved in the ministries of your church. They will have the opportunity to pray for your program, coach a team, referee a game, share a devotion, and develop relationships in order to open avenues of ministry to the people of your community who will participate in your program.  For more information, visit www.upward.org.

Registration Fee & Deadline:

Now accepting Fall registrations.  Deadline for registration is August 16.

The early registration cost per child for soccer is $70.

After July 25, the cost is $80.

 

Soccer shorts are optional at a cost of $12.

Bring or mail the registration form and fee to:

Woodlake United Methodist Church

 

Form and registration fee may be dropped off at the church office anytime between 9:00 am and 4:30 pm, Monday through Friday.

Soccer Evaluations:

Everyone must attend one soccer evaluation.

They will take place at the Woodlake United Methodist Church as follows:

 

Kindergarten, 1st, and 2nd Grade Boys/Girls

Saturday, July 26, between 8:30 a.m. and 10:30 a.m.

 

3rd, 4th, and 5th Grade Boys/Girls

Saturday, July 26, between 10:30 a.m. and 12:30 p.m.

League Schedule:

The league will begin with evaluations on Saturday, July 26th.

Practices begin the week of Tuesday, September 2nd.

First Game will be on Saturday, September 13th.

Awards Celebration will be on Thursday, November 13th.

We can also use lots of help in launching this exciting new children’s ministry!  If you would like to serve, there are many opportunities for coaches, referees, devotion leaders and assistants.
