Church Council meets on the fourth Thursday every month at 7:00 PM at the Hampton Park Campus. The meeting is attended by Lay Leaders and Council members who are representatives of each ministry area of the church.  These are open meetings where all are invited to attend even if you are not on the council.

The Church Council Minutes are recorded each month and are approved at the next meeting.  All critical items that the leadership needs to vote on are included so this becomes an official church document that details decisions and discussions made by the church leadership.

2009 Church Council Vote

All were invited to attend the Church Council vote on September 24th where it was unanamously decided to accept the new vision of the church!  The newly adopted statement is as follows:  "Helping and guiding people to become fully devoted disciples of Jesus Christ."

2009 Town Hall Meetings

All were invited to the 2009 Town Hall Meetings to discuss the new vision for the church, as well as hear about the exciting building plans for the next few years.  Come ask questions, give comments and feedback.  This is your future!

All were invited to attend the Church Conference on September 23rd to vote on the recent Church Council proposal to use Cosby High School for worship during the 9:30 and 11:00 am services starting in the spring of 2008 when the new Discipleship building opens.  The vote was passed to use Cosby High School.  Of the 167 votes cast, 129 voted in agreement, 37 voted in disagreement, and 1 abstained.  We look forward to seeing how God will use this space to reach even more people.

2006 Town Hall Meetings

The Horizon Team held a Town Hall meeting for the purpose of presenting options available to us as we move forward on the construction at the Hampton Park site.
With the results of the "A Time to Build" campaign, the feedback from the Town Hall meeting, and a meeting with the Adult Sunday School classes earlier in November, the Horizon Team also made a recommendation for the revised scope of the first phase of the building project and the financing plan.  The result of the Town Hall meeting was to build a Discipleship building and preschool instead of a temporary worship space due to the inflation of building costs.
