    • HS Conference Retreat, (generally the 1st full weekend in December)
Eagle Eyrie Retreat Center, Lynchburg, VA
This retreat is for HS students ONLY!
    • Richmond District Retreat, (generally the last full weekend in February)
Eagle Eyrie Retreat Center, Lynchburg, VA
This retreat is for 6th - 12th grade students.

These retreats are a two and a half day weekend full of rockin' worship, great teaching from amazing speakers, and meeting a ton of great new people. We stay in houses up on a mountain with bunk beds. Trust me, nothing wakes you up like a refreshing freezing cold shower. Hahaha! It is a great experience to have fun and worship all in one. It also is a wonderful opportunity to take your faith to a whole new level, take it from someone who knows!

Ski Trip to Snowshoe

January every year...

THE SKI TRIP IS AMAZING. It is an extremly brain blasting adventure. It will knock your socks off, or maybe some skis! There is nothing more exillerating than going down a ski slope faster than ever having nothing stopping you but the wind on your face! Or, if your not a fast type of person, I would suggest a bunny slope.  You can also snow board on this trip, which I haven't done yet but am eager to experience. Sam says snow boarding is oober fun!

This year about 20 youth headed for Snow Shoe Mountain for two days of skiing and had a blast!  If interested in attending next January, contact Kris Coleman!

  • Monthly Youth Service Projects

  • Youth Summer Mission Trip

Youth Ministries hosted a Youth Mission Trip this summer for all Middle and High School students to Morehead City, NC. This trip was a combination service project and children's ministry workshop event.

  • Rock Gospel Show Choir Mission Trip - Summer

    You may have,
    A) seen our spectacular shochoir perform in church
    B) have a friend who is in the showchoir
    C) heard about it but think you can't sing or dance
    D) have no idea what I'm talking about

No matter what your answer is you have a place in our praise group! If you answered A) thank you for the compliment and we hope you'll join us on Thursdays from 4:30-6:00. If you answered B) ever wonder why they're in the showchoir?  Maybe it's because of the life changing experiences, breath-taking tours, or our crazy mohawks... whatever it is, your friend is in this group for a reason, and so should you. We hope you will join us! If you answered C) don't sweat it!  Our amazing professoinals- Michael Berkley - Piano and Vocals, and Mrs. Liz - Choreography, can teach you anything and everything. Trust me. And if you answered D) hopefully by all the stuff I've said so far about the showchoir has given you a clear view about what we're about. Think we're your piece of pie? Join us every Thursday at 4:30 PM during the school year and see what we're all about!

30 Hour Famine

Every day...29,000 children die of hunger
Every 3 seconds...another child dies.

One thousand and one, one thousand and two, one thousand and three...
another child has died because they live in a poverty stricken area of the world.

This is a unique event. One of the main objectives of this event is to raise money to help World Vision deal with the issue of people around the world dying of hunger.

The other primary thing we do is fast from food for 30 hours. That's right...we do not eat. As you can tell it is super fun! There is great fellowship and an awesome bonding experience.  This event takes place each fall and we have a lock-in at the church where the kids will spend the night (supervised of course!).  We even have volunteer opportunities for all you parents out there!  Each child is also asked to raise $30 to donate to the event.  And no, we don't want them asking their family for the money.  We want them to raise it on their own!

This shows you how lucky we are to have what we have been given, it will definitly help you be more thankful for what we have.
