Involvement Ministries

“But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people belonging to God, that you may declare the praises of him who called you out of darkness into his wonderful light.”
– 1 Peter 2:9

Why get involved?

We are so busy; we work at our jobs, raising our families, caring for parents, and trying to have fun.  Yet as Christians, we are called to be the “priesthood of all believers.”  Each of us is truly a minister and as such, we are called to be in ministry.  What does that look like here at Woodlake United Methodist Church?  We are very blessed to be a large community of faith with many members and friends serving actively.  We feel that every person in our congregation is a gift from God and we are to be good stewards of each person and his or her gifts.

About Involvement Ministries

Involvement Ministries is the ministry team that is responsible for insuring good stewardship of our “people” resources.  The role of Involvement Ministries is to insure that everyone in our church family connects to meaningful, spirit-filled service to God and feels cared for and valued during their experiences. This happens through “Get Plugged In” interviews with new and existing members, exit interviews with leaders completing service terms, and tracking congregation involvement through database information.  Involvement Ministries also assists those needing direction in using their God-given talents and encourages spiritual assessment to achieve the most meaningful “service fit.”

How do I get plugged in?

“I tell you for certain that if you have faith in me, you will do the same things that I am doing. You will do even greater things, now that I am going back to the Father.” – John 14:12 (CEV)

There are a variety of ways to get plugged in at Woodlake United Methodist Church.  If you are ready to give back then read on for ways you can serve inside the church walls and out in the community and beyond.
