Following God's Word...Arming Men to Conquer Life's Battles

Our goal in WUMC's Men's Ministry is to create an environment where men can feel comfortable enjoying the fellowship of other men, learn about God's Word, improve their lives, and find help in advancing their spiritual walk.

Join us weekly, monthly, or when it fits your schedule.  Let us help you get more out of your life's journey and in return, give more to those in your life.  It's not about how many things you acquire on earth, it's about how many lives you impact!

What's Happening...

MEN'S RETREAT | OCTOBER 22-24 | TWIN LAKES STATE PARK

Guys, mark your calendar now!  The theme for this year’s retreat is “The Great Adventure – Becoming Real Men Of God.”  It will be held at Twin Lakes State Park, approximately 40 miles west of Richmond.  Enjoy the camaraderie of other men in the Church, while participating in team activities and interesting workshops.  The focus will be on laying a firm spiritual foundation in your life, how to make practical life decisions, developing wholesome relationships, and offering ideas on how to deal with crisis.  You will have the opportunity, in a relaxed setting, to discuss the workshop topics and reflect on how they relate to your own personal experiences.  There will be good food, great accommodations, group interaction, along with sports and leisurely activities.  Take time to get away for a couple of days.  You will feel rejuvenated and ready to jump back into everyday life with some new perspectives on what it takes to “Be a Man”.  You won’t regret it!

EARLY REGISTRATION:  $75  (MAY 11 - SEPT 15)

LATE REGISTRATION:  $85  (SEPT 15 - OCT 15)

  • MAKE CHECKS PAYABLE TO WUMC | MEMO: “MENS RETREAT”

CAREER CONNECTIONS

Are you one of the many who have experienced job loss or have been touched by a family
member’s being laid off?  In these difficult times, WUMC is called to serve.  A task force is meeting to identify ways we can serve the greater community as well as our own congregation  affected by unemployment.  We also offer Career Connections.  This is a great place for networking and resume assistance.  If you have any suggestions for the task force or need assistance, please contact Erin Reibel at 739-4535.
