Small Groups at WUMC

A small group is a group of eight to 12 people.  Welcoming of new members and using a variety of Bible study material, they meet weekly or every other week in homes or at the church and are committed to studying the Scriptures together, provide support and encouragement for others, and include time for fellowship.  As groups grow beyond “small group” size, they multiply to form new groups offering room for everyone!  Most groups provide childcare unless otherwise noted.

Why join a Small Group?  So you can find a way to belong and connect, be transformed by the love and power of Jesus Christ, and grow in your faith and share God's love with others.  "Every day they continued to meet together in the temple courts. They broke bread in their homes and ate together with glad and sincere hearts, praising God and enjoying the favor of all the people. And the Lord added to their number daily those who were being saved."  - Acts 2:46-47

Mission opportunities are usually presented to the group so that individuals have the opportunity to volunteer as they are able.

UMM offers the men of WUMC, and the community, an
opportunity to fellowship with other men while studying, serving and honoring Christ. Usually, guys start arriving around 7:00 am for coffee in the Church sanctuary.  We have a delicious meal served around 7:30 am by either Chef Glenn Harris or Chef Keith Peterson which is followed by a meeting or guest speaker, devotional, a brief discussion of business and a closing prayer.
