Service Times
At WUMC, we realize that one size does not always fit all, so we offer four styles of worship services each weekend. At all services, you'll find the same warm greeting and friendly atmosphere. Rev. Mike Shirley delivers an inspirational message every Saturday. Rev. Pete Moon, lead pastor, and Rev. Michael Whaley, associate pastor, alternate throughout our sermon series, delivering the same great message to all Sunday services. Try the services on for size...we think you'll be glad you did.

8:15 Traditional Worship | WUMC Sanctuary
The 8:15 am service is a 45 minute traditional service which offers traditional hymns, special soloists and a more quiet atmosphere. Nursery for infants through 3 yrs. old is available.
The 9:17 Band-driven Worship | Cosby High School
In early 2010, leaders at WUMC began to sense that God was leading us to broaden our reach, especially to young families and teenagers, by providing a new modern worship environment during our Sunday morning services. This new worship service is called The 9:17, and actually starts at 9:17 am! Casual in nature, this service features innovative multi-media, a modern praise band, a strong sense of community and a relevant, Christ-centered message from our pastor. Children are released from the service to KidZworship following the opening praise set. Nursery for infants through 3 yrs. old is available.
11:00 Spirited Traditional Worship | Cosby High School
The 11:00 service is a spirited-traditional service led by the Woodlake Choir and Orchestra. This service features engaging and relevant worship using some of the best elements from our rich heritage and a relevant, Christ-centered message from our pastor. This service also features a Children's Message before children are released to KidZworship. The Woodlake Ringers Handbell choir, KidZchoir and Jr. KidZchoir also make monthly appearances in worship. Nursery for infants through 3 yrs. old is available.
